About Us

Le Miaousée was born from a simple but powerful idea: to celebrate the remarkable role of cats in our lives. The initial spark came from a book about heroic and extraordinary cats who showed courage in ways that touched human history.

The first Le Miaousée event came to life by Aqeela and her friend Lynn, who she met at work and quickly bonded with over their shared love of cats and internet memes. Their collaboration culminated in an exhibit on cats living on farm sanctuaries, hosted at Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary.

Since then, Le Miaousée has presented exhibits in Montreal and is now preparing to open a permanent museum in summer 2026, which will be a lively cultural space dedicated to cats, community, and creativity.
