About Le Miaousée
Le Miaousée is Canada’s first cat museum, located in Montréal, Québec.
We celebrate the history, culture, and unique bond between cats and people through exhibitions, artwork, education, and community events. Whether you’re a lifelong cat lover or simply curious, we invite you to explore the many ways cats have shaped our lives and our world.
Our Mission
Le Miaousée explores the cultural and historical roles of cats in human societies, fosters community through a shared appreciation of cats, and encourages meaningful engagement in animal welfare.
What We Do
We bring our mission to life by creating engaging exhibitions that explore the history, culture, and relationship between cats and people. Through artwork, artifacts, and storytelling, we share stories from Montréal and around the world while celebrating the many ways cats have shaped our lives.
Beyond our exhibitions, we work closely with artists, animal rescues, veterinarians, and community organizations to promote cat welfare and responsible guardianship. Through talks, workshops, markets, and special events, we create welcoming spaces where people can learn, connect, and celebrate a shared love of cats.
Whether you’re visiting an exhibit, attending an event, shopping in our boutique, or discovering a local artist, we hope every visit inspires curiosity, compassion, and a deeper appreciation for our feline companions.
Our Team
Le Miaousée is built by a small but passionate team dedicated to celebrating cats, supporting our community, and creating memorable museum experiences. Together with our volunteers, artists, and community partners, we’re proud to welcome visitors to Canada’s first cat museum.
