Le Miaousée was born from a simple but powerful idea: to celebrate the remarkable role of cats in our lives. The initial spark came from a book about heroic and extraordinary cats who showed courage in ways that touched human history.
The idea first came to life by Aqeela and Lynn, who met at work and quickly bonded over their shared love of cats and internet memes. Their collaboration culminated in the very first Le Miaousée event: an exhibit on cats living on farm sanctuaries, hosted at Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary.
Since then, Le Miaousée has presented exhibits in Montreal and is now preparing to open a permanent museum in summer 2026, which will be a lively cultural space dedicated to cats, community, and creativity.
