    Black cats often face unfair misconceptions, leading to lower adoption rates and misunderstandings about their true nature. To highlight the adorable qualities of these cats and encourage more compassion, we teamed up with Kimchi the Adventure Cat for a special Halloween celebration in honor of National Black Cat Day on October 27, 2024. This festive event showcased the beauty and charm of black cats, featuring a poster exhibit highlighting local cat rescue efforts, engaging activities for children, and an auction that raised $200 for the Montreal SPCA. Together, we celebrated black cats and worked toward a brighter future for them.

    Barnyard Buddies: Cat Tales from the Farm Sanctuary

    We partnered with Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary (HEEFS) for our inaugural Meowseum exhibit, “Barnyard Buddies: Cat Tales from the Farm Sanctuary,” on May 25, 2024. This exhibit was a highlight of HEEFS’ season opener event, where the sanctuary welcomes visitors for tours each summer. Alongside the exhibit, guests enjoyed farm tours, children’s crafts, and a vibrant vendor market, making it a delightful day for all attendees.
